What to expect
With proper care, your snap-on veneers should provide you with years of use, although the lenghth of time that your appliance can be used will be dependent on a variety of factors, including how often you wear it (on a regular basis, or only periodically for special occasions), how carefullly you handle and store the appliance when not being used, what you bite and chew on while the snap-on veneer is in your mouth, as well as other factors.
While BellaVeneers are not bulky in material (less than 1 mm), they are still something new that will fit over your teeth so your tongue and mouth muscles will need to adapt to them. It may be an adjustment to having them on, but the more you practice speaking with your snap- on veneers, the easier it will be. We found that singing your favorite song in the shower helps!
Since BellaVeneers are designed from impressions made at home, they are customized to fit precisely over your teeth. BellaVeneers will fit securely over your teeth without the need for any adhesive materials.
Caring for your snap-on veneers
- You should avoid drinking VERY hot beverages. Hot beverages are more likely to stain your veneers, and can also cause the veneers to warp over time. If you want to drink a very hot beverage we reccomend removing the veneers.
- Do not soak your snap-on veneers in mouthwash. You might be tempted to do this but don't. While mouthwash can kill bacteria and clean your veneers, most mouthwashes have artificial coloring that can eventually stain your veneers over time.
- Avoid using stiff brushes or sharp objects to clean your veneers. The only thing you should use is a soft - bristled deture brush. Don't use a toothpick, wire brushes, or anything else to try to clean your veneers. If you do, you could permanently scratch, scrape, damage, or destroy you veneers.
- Do not expose your snap-on veneers to high heat as this can likely cause them to becaome damaged and unusable. If you need to dry them, simply pat them dry with a soft cloth or air dry them before putting them in your storage case.
