Nesbit partial dentures, also known as flipper teeth, are a form of removable partial dentures that sit in the gap of a single missing tooth. They are typically smaller, less expensive and less cumbersome than more extensive partial dentures.
There are three steps to the process of getting your Nesbit partial dentures:
1. Your at-home impression kit will arrive in a few days and we will guide you through the process.
2. Mail the impressions back to our laboratory in Chicago using the pre-paid return label.
3. We’ll mail your custom-made dental appliance directly to your home in about three weeks.
Nesbit flexible partial dentures need to be cleaned immediately whenever they aren’t being worn.
To clean, rinse them in warm water, but not too hot. Then, wash them using a specialized denture cleaner or mild hand or dish soap. Dry them completely before storing them in their case to prevent mold and mildew.
To avoid your Nesbit partials from drying out, keep them submerged overnight in lukewarm water. You can even add some denture-specific cleaning solution to the water.
In short, yes, you can eat food and drink liquids while wearing a Nesbit partial denture. However, care should be taken in certain situations.
Hard, crunchy, and hot foods can damage the integrity of your dentures. Chewy foods like gum and caramel should also be avoided.
At Dental Lab Direct, Nesbit partial dentures start at $349.99.
