It is recommended to wear your nightguard every night, for as long as you are sleeping, to ensure predictable protection. For those with severe bruxism issues, wearing it during the day might also be recommended. A nightguard treats the symptoms and prevents damage caused by grinding, but does not address the underlying cause of bruxism.
How do I clean and care for my nightguard?
To keep your nightguard functional and hygienic, daily cleaning is essential. Rinse your nightguard with cold water immediately after each use. Brush it gently with a soft brush and mild soap. For a deeper cleaning, you can use specialized tablets, but avoid soaking the guard for longer than an hour.
