What are partial dentures?

Dentures that replace multiple teeth in your upper or lower mouth are called partial dentures.

Wearing partial dentures can enhance chewing and speech for the wearer, as well as preserve the placement of your remaining teeth, which may otherwise shift over time.

It's recommended that partial dentures be removed at night so that they can be cleaned. Partial dentures shouldn't be worn 24 hours a day.

What are different types of partial dentures?

A partial denture can be made in a variety of forms. The dentist will recommend the best option, but it is the wearer's final decision.

Acrylic partial dentures

Generally, These dentures are also relatively inexpensive, so patients can use them for a few years and easily purchase new ones when needed.

Flexible partial denture

For those who are uncomfortable with cast metal or acrylic partial dentures or suffer from allergies due to materials, flexible partial dentures are an excellent option. Using a thermo injection technique, this type of partial is molded to fit accurately over your gum tissue. Without metal clasps, the appearance is very natural, and the level of comfort is high.

Nesbit partial dentures

Nesbit partial dentures replace 1 or 2 teeth on a wearer's one side.  A Nesbit partial denture is made with the same material as the full flexible partial denture just with a minimal material design.
